View all posts Ken Fulmer is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Sunoco and part of the IT leadership team at Sunoco. He has been with Sunoco for 25 years, in various positions within the Information Technology field. His current responsibilities as CTO include managing the Project Management Office (PMO), the IT planning and application architecture group. He is also directing the enabling layer of applications including SOA and EAI, Web Services, Portals, Document Management, Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing. Ken started at Sun Oil (as it was then known) in the Commercial products group. He then managed the Sun Information Services (now Sungard) consulting group of over 200 consultants, leading projects in the government and financial services sector. He later managed a series of large internal projects for various business segments in Sunoco, including introducing the Cstore systems, implementing a pipeline financial tracking system, implementing the refinery maintenance and asset management system, HES systems, and replacing the financial and procurement systems. He also managed the IT development for treasury, tax, and business line performance and sales reporting groups. Prior to his current role, Ken managed Sunoco's backoffice and financial applications, as well as being the IT director for the Mid-America business line. He has also lead several business process re-engineering teams, and was part of the corporate quality program at Sunoco for IT.
