Michael J. McGuire is a member of the firm's eDiscovery Practice Group, which was created to reinforce the firm's commitment to providing its clients with cutting-edge solutions in the rapidly-developing and challenging area of electronic discovery. He advises the firm's lawyers and their clients on electronic discovery issues, including the preservation, collection, review, and production of electronically stored information. Michael has represented companies in both state and federal courts and has served as trial counsel in jury trials. He also handles mediations and arbitrations. Michael is also a frequent lecturer on technology and eDiscovery issues. Prior to joining Littler Mendelson, Michael was the managing director of legal operations for the mortgage division of an integrated financial services company where he led the development of a cross-functional team to in-source nearly all of their eDiscovery processes. Before that, he was a partner in the litigation and corporate departments at a Minneapolis firm focusing his practice on the legal issues arising from the intersection of technology and law, including electronic discovery, privacy and Internet issues. Michael Shannon is the Chief Information Officer of Dechert LLP responsible for the Firm’s technology strategic direction. Before joining Dechert, Michael was the Global Core Technologies Manager for Bristol-Myers Squibb, a consultant and Systems Engineer, and a Machine Designer for automated assembly systems. Michael has an Associate of science Degree in Robotic Engineering, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Technology, and a Masters in Business Administration from Temple University.
