From there he worked in sales for several years before beginning work in the government sector. Mark has worked for the State of Mississippi for over 15 years. For seven of those years, he was with the Mississippi Department of Health and served as the Mississippi Emergency Medical Services Information Systems Manager. Mark then worked with the Mississippi Department of
Public Safety from September of 2008 to April of 2013. There he served as a Senior Business Systems Analyst assigned to the Driver Services Division of the Mississippi Highway Patrol and was the Real ID coordinator before being promoted to the Executive Director of Public Safety Planning. As Executive Director of Public Safety Planning, Mark was the Governor’s Representative for Highway Safety and sat on the Board of the national Governor’s Highway Safety Association. Mark currently serves as the Chief Information Officer for the Mississippi Department of Human Services.
