John Ellinger, Bowling Green State University chief information officer, has more than 20 years of experience in strategic planning, visioning, project management and change management, collaboration and organizational management skills. In addition to these areas, his expertise includes business intelligence and data warehouses. He was involved in the development and implementation of these programs at BGSU and The Ohio State University. Other achievements include leading the first statewide Data Center and Disaster Recovery Program for the 14 Ohio public universities, leading the first statewide Business Continuity Program for Ohio universities and agencies and implementing 22 customer systems in 36 months at BGSU.
