Robert J. Vitello is Chief Information Officer (Deputy Commissioner for Planning and Technology) for the New York State Department of Labor. For the twelve previous years Robert was CIO and Director of Legal Technology & Systems Management for the Office of the New York State Attorney General where he built a finely tuned electronic discovery support service that was instrumental in the prosecution of such celebrated cases as those against Merrill Lynch, AIG, and Prudential. Also, previously, he served as Director of the Computer Science Laboratory at the Wadsworth Health Labs. From 1989 to 1995, he was Executive Director of the Strategic Systems Laboratories, a research and development arm of the New York State Office of General Services. From 1981 to 1989, he served as the Director of the Computer Services Bureau of the NYS Department of State. From 1975 to 1981, he lead MIS efforts for the City of Buffalo's grants with federal Labor, HUD, and Justice Departments. He is a frequent lecturer on such topics as Service Oriented Architecture, agile programming, open source development, legal electronic discovery, and enterprise technology management. Robert is a member of the New York State CIO Council, and a member of the Economic Security and Human Services Advisory Board. He is a member of the National Association of State Workforce Agencies Technology Committee. He sits on various OASYS standards committees, including legalXML and SOA Reference Architecture. He was Chair of the Office of General Services Computer Center Advisory Board, which was a precursor to today's Office for Technology, and is a former member of the Government Open Code Consortium. Zeus Kerravala, senior vice president, leads Yankee Group's Mobilizing and Capitalizing on the Anywhere Network research group. Kerravala's team analyzes the impact of connectivity transformation on the Anywhere Consumer and the Anywhere Enterprise, and probes the changes to behaviors, motivations and technologies that result. Before Yankee Group, Kerravala was a senior engineer and technical project manager for Greenwich Technology Partners, a leading infrastructure consulting firm. Earlier, he was the vice president of IT for Ferris, Baker Watts, a mid-Atlantic brokerage firm, deploying corporate-wide technical solutions to support the firm's business units. After 9 years in Europe with IBM and Ernst & Young, Mr. Schoehuijs spent a decade in the US working for a Flowserve, a Dallas based industrial manufacturing company, for Engelhard, a New Jersey based chemical company which was acquired by BASF, and for Church & Dwight, a consumer goods company also in New Jersey.
