Torri Martin is the Director of SMARTATL, a program of the Atlanta Information Management Department (AIM). The mission is to advance and implement smart city initiatives throughout the City of Atlanta. Mr. Martin has a vast array of professional experience as a former White House Intern for the Obama Administration, overseeing the technology operations for the District of Colombia Public schools, and serving as Chief of Staff and Assistant to the Mayor of the City of Fairburn, Georgia. Mr. Martin joined the City of Atlanta in June of 2015 as a Senior Project Manager in the Mayor’s Office of Innovation Delivery and Performance but was quickly promoted as the Interim Director of the Fiber Atlanta Services Team. Now as the Director of newly formed SMARTATL, he is responsible for centralizing the City of Atlanta’s Smart City Strategy and ensuring that infrastructure to support SMARTATL is in place. Mr. Martin has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Georgia State University and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Troy University. He is a Certified Public Manager and is currently working towards a Juris Doctor degree from John Marshall School of Law. As the Minneapolis CIO, Mr. Doll is responsible for all IT. Formerly South Dakota's CIO for 15 years with responsibility for all state government computing, telecommunications, state radio, and public broadcasting. Mr. Doll has advised Fortune 1000, Federal, State, and Local Government CIOs on information technology assessment and alignment to business needs. He has served as a Director with the United States General Services Administration, developing information technology strategic plans and oversight policy. Mr. Doll received his Computer Science degree from Virginia Tech and is a Senior Executive Fellow of the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. He is a past President of NASCIO — a national organization of state CIOs.
