Lawanda Parnell is the Chief Information Officer at Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) located in Johnson City, Texas. Lawanda joined PEC in November 2012. Prior to joining PEC, Lawanda was Senior Director and interim CIO at CPS Energy in San Antonio, Texas. Lawanda has also worked as an IT consultant and held several IT management and executive positions at IBM. As CIO at Pedernales Electric Cooperative, Lawanda is responsible for all aspects of the Cooperative’s IT infrastructure, including application development & support, hardware, networking, telecommunications, service desk, portfolio management and cyber security. Lawanda earned her B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida. She earned her M.S degree in the Management of Technology from the National Technological University.
