Kevin Burns Chief Information Officer, City of Miami Kevin Burns is employed by the city of Miami since May 2002. Prior to coming to work for the City of Miami, Kevin spent a short stint in the public sector working in the automation group for one of the top two aluminum manufacturers in the world. He has served in progressively responsible positions such as Senior Systems Analyst, Project Manager, Interim Assistant Director, Information Systems Manager, and Deputy CIO with the Information Technology and Fire Rescue Departments respectively. Kevin started his working career in the US Army and spent just over 20 years serving in challenging positions with prestigious units such as the 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, NY; 8th US Army, Seoul, Korea; 172nd Infantry Division and US Army Cold Regions Test Center, both in Alaska. City of Cleveland, Ohio Chief Information Officer Don Phillips is a 20-year veteran in the information technology field. Don is known within information technology circles for transforming IT into more than technology services. Don comes to the City of Cleveland from Walsh University, where he served as Chief Information Officer and Associate Vice President. He also served as the Director of Information Technology at the Cleveland Heights – University Heights City School District for over eight (8) years and held various IT positions over a ten (10) year period at Rockwell Automation, including IT Project Manager. In 2016, Don was named Crain’s Cleveland Business Magazine 2016 CIO of the Year (Government Sector). Mr. Phillips holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from John Carroll University, a Master of Science Degree from Case Western Reserve University, and a law degree (JD) from the University of Akron.
