As Chief Information Officer, Zahid Afzal is responsible for corporate-wide information technology, banking operations, and e-commerce functions at Huntington.
Prior to joining Huntington in 2007, Afzal was Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Sky Financial Group. Before joining Sky, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Bank of America Consumer Banking. He's also held various leadership positions at Broadslate Networks, Citicorp, and MCI Communications.
Afzal serves on the boards of the Bowling Green State University College of Business, the Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges (OFIC), Groundworks Advisory Group, and the CIO Executive Council governing body. He also supports various other organizations in Central Ohio.
