William has been a member of the PHLX’s Technology Management Staff since 1982, serving in various technical and managerial capacities. He is responsible for the Financial Automation of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX), and his management supports the PHLX’s businesses including Equity Trading, Equity Options Trading, Foreign Currency Options Trading, Futures and Clearing Services. In February 2004, William was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Advanced Tech Source (ATS), a subsidiary of the PHLX that provides technology hosting services. William has been a finalist for the Computerworld Smithsonian Award, and he was recently presented with the Sun Microsystems Stellar Performance Award and the LaSalle University Information Technology Leadership Award. His work has been featured in articles published in Computer World, Information Week, LAN Magazine, Securities Industry News and Wall Street Technology Magazine. William is also on the boards of various universities as well as the Society for Information Management (SIM). William has also served on the Securities Industry Association (SIA) Year 2000 Steering Committee.
