William A. Brindley is the Recently Retired Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of NetHope, a new-generation information and communications technology collaboration.
Brindley is a veteran executive with proven expertise leading international corporations and social enterprises. He has served in a variety of executive positions such as Chief Executive Officer, Global Managing Director (Citigroup), Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Officer.
He graduated with highest honors from the American University and holds several graduate degrees including a doctorate in organizational renewal. He is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and has also completed postgraduate courses at both Columbia and Harvard Business Schools.
Bill serves on the World Economic Forum's Global Agenda Council for Data in Development and the Future of the Internet. He is a frequent speaker, moderator and panelist at venues such as the World Economic Forum, the Clinton Global Initiative, and the Social Innovation Summit. In addition he publishes regularly with the Stanford Social Innovation Review, the World Economic Forum and the Huffington Post. Together with Jessica Long of Accenture he has just published a major Point of View on "Technology in Emerging Markets.
