Veneeth Purushotaman has Over two decades of experience in technology enablement, transition and transformation in Pharma, Education, Retail and Healthcare sectors. Currently working as the CIO at Fortis Healthcare Ltd driving standardization of processes and systems while integrating and building a single pan-Fortis Hospital Information System. At Fortis Healthcare, Veneeth is responsible to drive a major technology consolidation of Front End Hospital Management systems; the Project OneFortis is a project which attempts to bring all the hospitals into a single organizational HIS hosted on the cloud and aligned to a Single Process. Before joining Fortis in 2016, completed an aggressive IT Transition and Transformation project at Bharti Retail Ltd (Easy Day Stores), a project in which we relayed the entire IT Landscape to support a Small Format Retail Store business. Joined Bharti Retail in May 2014 to lead the project following the de-merger of Bharti Retail from Walmart in 2013. Completed the transition successfully in Dec 2014 as per plan; successfully implemented SAP IS Retail, Wincor Nixdorf, SAP EWM for warehouses, JDA-Intactix for space planning and several of the peripheral systems in order to get the business transactional in 6 months and now working on getting the system stability and optimization. Among the Core Leadership team driving the technology transformation and also working on driving the business towards profitability in Bharti Retail. Worked with HyperCity Retail India Ltd, a big box hypermarket retailer and subsidiary of Shoppers Stop Ltd, as Sr. Vice President for Technology and added responsibility of Supply Chain and Logistics since 2012; with the group since Aug 2001; led projects on Point of Sale, Customer Loyalty & Enterprise Data warehousing. Business Technology Leadership and known among peers as a CIO who talks business – have engaged with business stakeholders to drive several business projects which helped the company achieve business goals.
