Urs Fischer, CISA, CPA (Swiss), CIA, is lead developer of ISACA's new Risk IT framework and is also vice president and head of IT governance and risk management within the SwissLife Group. Before taking that role in 2003, he worked for four years as head of IT audit for the SwissLife Audit Department based in Zurich, Switzerland.
Fischer has worked in the IT governance and risk management area (including IT audit and IT security) since 1989 and has gained during his work extensive information risk management and systems security experience, especially in the finance and insurance area.
Fischer is very active in the IT control and security community. In addition to his international involvement with ISACA and ITGI, he has also spent eight years on the ISACA Switzerland Chapter Board and has served on the program committee for six of ISACA's European Computer Audit, Control and Security (EuroCACS) Conferences.
