Tim joined Wellmark in November 2011. As Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO), Tim is responsible for Wellmark’s Business Technology Services division, which includes oversight of application development, data warehousing, enterprise architecture, infrastructure, security, enterprise program/project management, business planning and analysis, and quality assurance.
Prior to joining Wellmark, Tim spent nearly 12 years at UnitedHealth Group, where he was most recently CIO for its OptumHealth Care Solutions business. He also held various other leadership roles across UnitedHealth Group within the areas of enterprise data and analytics strategy; global IT operations/infrastructure; and information security. Earlier in his career, Tim worked in network architecture and information security at IBM.
Tim holds the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP®) and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) designations.
