Rowena Yeo serves as Chief Technology Officer & Vice President, Technology Services for Johnson & Johnson. In this role, she is responsible for implementing technology strategy, focusing on delivering new levels of innovation and operational excellence to the enterprise and leading the industry-renowned Technology Services organization that directly leads and enables Johnson & Johnson company growth, agility and improves healthcare outcomes.
Rowena serves as a member of the Global Technology Leadership team that works on translating business priorities and challenges into technology solutions to better serve patients and customers.
Rowena joined Johnson & Johnson in June 2016 as Vice President, Information Technology, Pharmaceuticals Asia Pacific. In this role, she led the strategic direction and application of technology to support the business objectives for the Pharmaceuticals group in Asia Pacific.
As a strong advocate for technology to help provide tangible competitive advantages, Rowena has been an active member of the Pharma IT Senior Leadership Team, Janssen Asia Pacific Leadership Team (APLT) and has represented the pharmaceuticals sector on the Asia Pacific IT Council. In her role, Rowena and her team established digital and technology platforms as a key enabler for Janssen Asia Pacific through active collaboration and partnering with the business and the broader technology organization, establishing the technology foundation for patient support platforms, Business Intelligence and next generation digital capabilities in the region.
Before joining Janssen, Rowena served as Global CIO for the Agricultural Trading & Processing Enterprise of Cargill, Inc. and concurrently as CIO, Asia Pacific Region. Rowena was also a member of the Global CIO leadership team and a member of the Global Agricultural Trading & Processing Enterprise Leadership team. She joined Cargill, Inc. in 1994 as Asia Pacific Global Office Program Manager, and held various regional and global leadership roles of increasing responsibilities.
Through her career at Cargill, she built and developed both the Global Business sector and Regional IT teams, developed business and IT strategies, implemented technology capabilities and built teams to enable Cargill’s growth. Rowena also led the Cargill teams through various IT transformations. Before Cargill, Inc., Rowena had a successful career with IBM Singapore.
A native Singaporean, Rowena earned her Bachelor of Engineering Honors Degree from the National University of Singapore. She is a strong supporter for the value that business can deliver to local communities and the environment and is an advocate of sustainable corporate practices, including enhanced diversity and inclusion.
Rowena is a board member of the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT), and she previously served as a member of the Johnson & Johnson Asia Pacific Diversity & Inclusion Board and championed the Women’s Leadership & Inclusion and WiSTEM2D programs at Johnson & Johnson and Cargill.
Rowena is married with three daughters and enjoys music, reading, running and searching for otters in her free time.
