As the Chief Technology Officer for the Department of Energy Peter Tseronis is responsible for identifying and supporting innovative programs to transform and modernize the technology and methods in which the department executes our mission, leads the government and supports our citizens.
Peter helps bridge the divide among public and private sectors as well as across federal agencies, and ultimately helps supports our mission by cultivating a department-wide vision for our national initiatives.
Recognized as a federal thought leader and transformation agent, Peter is focused on the impact and importance technology and information management to in supporting the Nation’s objectives.
Federally, he is engaged with policy initiatives to represent the Department and incorporate these strategies into our IT management practices and as a result of his leadership has been asked to lead numerous activities to mature federal technology and information infrastructure.
Peter began his federal career more than 20 years ago, previously serving as the CTO and Director of Network Services for the U.S. Department of Education.
