Nasser Farshchian has served as Senior Vice president and Chief Information Officer at McJunkin Red Man company since July 2008.
Nasser has over 23 years of information technology and business experience in Fortune 100 and start-up companies. He has held management positions at Nestlé, Nestlé USA, J.B. Hunt, SeeCommerce, and Bristlecone. Most recently, Nasser served as head of the Program Management Office at J.B. Hunt from October 2003 to July 2008, where his IT strategy focused on reducing the cost of systems development across the organization and increasing the quality of systems deliverables.
Prior to that, as Vice President of Corporate Development for Bristlecone from 2001 to 2003, Nasser’s primary focus was the creation and execution of sales and business development strategies, competitive positioning, solutions partnerships and strategic alliances. Prior to that, as Vice President of International Business Development for SeeCommerce from 1998 to 2001, Nasser was responsible for establishing and operating SeeCommerce’s operations in Europe, Latin America, Africa, and the Asia Pacific region. Prior to that, as Director of Supply Chain Processes for Nestlé USA from 1997 to 1998, Nasser managed a corporate-wide activity aimed at simplifying Nestlé USA’s business processes, increasing real internal growth, and reducing operational waste. As head of Strategy Support for Nestlé in Switzerland from 1990 to 1998, Nasser was responsible for establishing global standards for application development areas.
