Michael joined McKesson in 2007, and leads the security and IT risk management functions for the company. Michael’s career is focused predominantly in IT and risk management, and he has experience working in several geographies and industries, including financial services, healthcare and consumer products and distribution. His expertise lies in helping companies mature the risk management and security functions.

Prior to joining McKesson, Michael spent several years with a global professional services organization in a number of leadership roles, and has held IT positions in the Asia Pacific region, specifically in the financial services industry with banking and insurance organizations.

Michael continues to participate in a number of industry organizations. He is an executive advisory board member for the Health Information Trust Alliance (HITRUST), provides support for the Health Security Alliance and the Cloud Security Alliance. He is an active member of the Chief Security Officer (CSO) Bay Area Council.

Michael speaks regularly on various panels and conferences, most notably as the co-chair of the governing body for the CISO Executive Summit (San Francisco). Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and commerce from Victoria University, New Zealand.
