Mark is an Associate Professor of Technology in the Center for Research on Technology and Innovation at the Kellogg School of Management. He is currently researching strategic alignment of technology projects and investments by understanding technology financial decision-making, ROI analysis, real options, and applications of portfolio theory. Mark also teaches "Enterprise Technology for General Managers" and "Managing Technology Portfolios and Projects" as courses in the MBA curriculum at Kellogg.
He is also the academic director of the three day Kellogg CIO/CXO executive program "Driving Strategic Results through IT Portfolio Management". Mark has over 30 peer reviewed publications in management, scientific and technology journals, including a chapter on ROI analysis in the Wiley Encyclopedia of the Internet. He has also developed 14 original case studies that are used in the Kellogg MBA course he teaches on Portfolio Management, and multiple Kellogg executive programs.
