Kjersten Margaret Moody is the Chief Data Officer of Prudential Financial. She joined the company in June 2020. Her mission is to deliver leading data and analytics capabilities and enable innovation to inform business strategy and contribute meaningfully to Prudential’s business results.
As a member of the Global Technology Senior Leadership Team, she is responsible for Prudential’s enterprise data and analytics function and emerging technologies. This includes data management and governance; data, BI and modeling platforms; master data management; and analytics (business intelligence delivery, data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence). She is also a key strategic leader for the enterprise program to better enable innovation and the use of emerging technology across the enterprise.
Kjersten has more than 20 years of experience working with business teams and leaders to effectively use technology, data, and analytics to improve or transform businesses. She joined Prudential from State Farm, serving as its inaugural Chief Data and Analytics Officer. In this role, she led the Enterprise Data and Analytics department and was responsible for the enterprise data strategy, data management and governance, data engineering, data science, machine learning, and AI governance. She partnered with leaders across the business to inform strategy and deepen customer engagement for State Farm’s 83 million policies and accounts.
Prior to State Farm, Kjersten was Vice President, Information & Analytics at Unilever based in London UK. In this role, she streamlined the data operations and reporting across 190 countries and territories. She also founded Unilever’s data science and machine learning capability.
