Karen Kirwan joined U.S. Cellular in 2002 as executive vice president of information services and chief information officer. Prior to this role, she served as vice president and chief information officer of Exelon Corporation, where she managed all aspects of the company's information technology functions.
Prior to Exelon, she served as vice president of business process systems for The Pillsbury Company, where she was responsible for the strategic development and implementation of all business processes for the company's retail and food service units. Kirwan also held several senior leadership positions at The Standard Register Company, Clopay Corporation and LensCrafters Corporation.
She earned a bachelor's of science degree in management information systems with a minor in accounting from Central Michigan University, and has pursued a master's degree at Madonna University.
