Joe Sniado is Chief Information Officer at Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services. In this role, Joe leads IT, Data and Project Management Office services worldwide. Joe’s responsibilities include managing the IT teams that support the ratings groups and teams that provide services across the ratings business. These services include data systems, workflow, compliance, portal, content management, quality assurance, financial systems, architecture, application operations and security. Joe is also responsible for creating business solutions on an integrated platform to enable employees to perform the ratings process in a globally consistent way.
Before his current role, Joe was Chief Technology Officer for Standard & Poor’s for five years. In this role, Joe built and fully deployed an integrated platform known as “SmartWork.” For this project, Joe received a 2011 Excellence in Leadership Award.
Before joining S&P in 2006, Joe was the Managing Director for Application Development and Project Management at Moody’s Investors Service. He was responsible for all internal and product systems supporting the ratings business. He also worked in the banking industry building risk management systems, asset/liability models, and trading and hedging systems.
