Sinclair, a Fortune 500 company, is a diversified media company and leading provider of local sports and news. Prior to joining Sinclair, John served as the Global CISO for Laureate Education, Inc., focused on supporting Laureate’s global footprint of universities and large student base – primarily located in the US, Mexico, Peru, Chile, and Brazil.
Prior to supporting the commercial market, John spent over 20 years supporting the federal government – supporting secure infrastructure and information security missions for the intelligence community. John last supported the federal government working for the Office of Government-wide Policy assisting in creating meaningful cybersecurity policy for the US Government.
John is a military veteran (Army Aviation, Black Hawk crew chief) who served with both the 101st Airborne (Ft. Campbell, KY) and the 5/17th Air Cavalry (South Korea) during his almost 9-years of active service. John holds a MS in Information Systems Technology from the George Washington University and has various information security and leadership certifications.
