John T. Flynn is Vice President of Technology Management for the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). He is responsible for the development, implementation and support of new and current technologies at the CTA, including both operational and administrative software systems applications and associated hardware, all revenue collection equipment including bus fare boxes and rail turnstiles and smart cards, and the CTA's electronic communications infrastructure. The CTA is the nation's second largest public transit system, serving Chicago and 40 suburbs. The CTA operates both bus and rail service, providing 1.5 million rides on an average weekday through a network of seven rail lines and 150 bus routes. Mr. Flynn has a master of science in urban planning and public policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a bachelor of science in business administration from the University of Colorado.
