Ian has worked in IT security for 30 years. At Gigamon he is Field CTO (Global), and also leads the Security Architecture Team. The SAT assists customers worldwide in high complexity security designs and operational capabilities. Prior to joining Gigamon in 2013, he worked for RSA, Cisco, Sun, SGI/Cray, the AFTRS and Macquarie University. At Macquarie, in work funded by IBM and the CSIRO, Ian was part of the research team which performed the early development of what became IEEE 802.11, or Wi-Fi.
