George Tumas is Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for the Internet Services Group (ISG). In his role, George manages Internet Services Development (ISD) which is responsible for technology software and infrastructure architecture, software development and maintenance, software security, quality assurance, load and performance testing, software deployment and production support for the Internet and Mobile Channels for Wells Fargo’s Community Banking Group.
George joined Wells Fargo in August 2000 and has assumed various roles in the Internet Services Development group. Before being named ISG CIO, George managed Internet Channel Development for ISG. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, George was Managing Director at Banc of America Securities, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation where he oversaw merger-related activities, Y2K regulatory oversight and the European equity expansion project. George was at Bank of America for almost ten years in a variety of Technology management positions within Capital Markets.
In September 2010, George was named by Bank Systems & Technology as one of the “Elite 8 2010” banking technology leaders. George holds NASD Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses in Wells Fargo Investments.
