From June 2005 George has held the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Sara Lee Corporation, and is responsible for global information systems. As part of the company's public transformation program he is responsible for large scale global re-platform activities. In addition to his I/S responsibilities he leads the companies Continuous Improvement program with LEAN / Six Sigma methodology. Prior to Sara Lee, George was Vice President & Chief Information Officer of H. J. Heinz, in charge of the global information systems organization and all aspects of application systems and technology infrastructure in the company. He also held the position of Vice President of Business Transformation where he focused on growth and waste elimination in all business areas. George has held positions including Group Senior Vice President, Global Infrastructure & Services based at Asea Brown Boveri (ABB), Inc. in Zurich, Switzerland and several IS positions during his 12 year stint at the Gillette Company, in both the US and Europe. In his last position at Gillette, George was European Supply Chain Manager responsible for inventory control and production planning based in London supporting approximately $2b in sales.
