City of Cleveland, Ohio Chief Information Officer Don Phillips is a 20-year veteran in the information technology field. Don is known within information technology circles for transforming IT into more than technology services. Don comes to the City of Cleveland from Walsh University, where he served as Chief Information Officer and Associate Vice President.
He also served as the Director of Information Technology at the Cleveland Heights – University Heights City School District for over eight (8) years and held various IT positions over a ten (10) year period at Rockwell Automation, including IT Project Manager. In 2016, Don was named Crain’s Cleveland Business Magazine 2016 CIO of the Year (Government Sector).
Mr. Phillips holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from John Carroll University, a Master of Science Degree from Case Western Reserve University, and a law degree (JD) from the University of Akron.
