Don Cox has over 25 years of experience in technology. Don started his career as a Special Agent with the US Secret Service Electronic Crimes Task Force in Washington DC, investigating high-tech crimes and conducting computer forensic investigations. He currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer at MEDNAX, the physician-led healthcare organization headquartered in Sunrise, FL. Don is responsible for cybersecurity operations and engineering, identity access management, disaster recovery, business continuity planning, physical security, and risk and compliance for the company. Don was selected as a Peerlyst Community: 29 Highly Influential CISOs of 2019. He serves as an Executive Member for and CyberEd Board Community. Don is known for his vast knowledge across many technology domains. He is a leader, innovator, motivator, his background and experience set him apart from others. Before MEDNAX, Don was the Chief Information Officer at HHS, SAMHSA, and held executive leadership positions in several other government agencies. He served as the Deputy Chief Information Officer at Philidor Rx, Chief Information Officer at NOVA Corporation, and President, Innava Data Solutions. Don holds and Master of Business Administration, Masters of IT Management, Graduate Certificate in Chief Information Officer Competencies, CISM, Security+, PMP, ITIL, and other computer forensics and industry certifications.
