Dean Verhaeghe is the vice president of development for optimization products for Tivoli Software at IBM. He is responsible for leading the strategy and development of optimization development including workload scheduling, decision support, inventory and asset management. With more than 30 years of experience working in systems management, Dean's special emphases are in the areas of availability, performance, data center operations and IT financial management. Before joining Tivoli, Dean worked for the Legent Corporation in a variety of positions including general manager of the IT management business unit, senior director of product management and director of development. Dean was on the executive board of the Association for IT Financial Management.
