Daniel G. Mintz currently serves as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the United States Department of Transportation (DOT). Dan's professional career has spanned thirty years. He came to DOT from Sun Microsystems, where he most recently served as the Director for Government Compliance Programs and was responsible for leading a corporate-wide group responsible for security, legal, and regulatory compliance for Sun's US Government business. In 2005, Dan served as a Delegate to the White House Conference on Aging. He earlier served as a member of the State of Maryland Advisory Panel on Electronic Commerce.
