Chris Moyer is the chief technology officer of HP Enterprise Services (ES). In this role, he is responsible for setting technical direction for ES and its portfolio of services.
Moyer and his organization assist ES by establishing technical advisors for regions and accounts, leading applied research activities to enhance the services portfolio, and strengthening the technical community to develop capabilities needed to predictably grow the business.
He has spent more than 25 years building innovative business and technology solutions for HP clients in several industries across multiple geographies. Moyer is an HP Fellow who has held leadership positions in sales, delivery and strategy. Most recently, he was chief technologist for Portfolio Research and Development in ES, where his team was focused on incubating potential new service offerings and leveraging intellectual property from HP Labs.
Moyer joined EDS in 1985 and has held a range of positions in the United States, Japan and Europe. He has held multiple leadership roles including technical director for the UK Inland Revenue Division and chief technologist for EMEA. Moyer spent two years incubating eBreviate, an EDS company, providing innovative, Internet-based strategic procurement software. Before joining EDS, he was a network analyst with Marathon Oil Company in Findlay, Ohio.
Moyer has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University and is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He currently lives in Shrewsbury, England with his wife and two daughters.
