Bruce J. Goodman is Humana's senior vice president and chief service and information officer, a position he has held since September 2002. Under Bruce's leadership, Humana was a national finalist for Best Customer Service organization in transforming service delivery in the 2004 American Business Awards. Bruce was also honored as the national winner of the 2004 American Business Award for Best Product Development or Engineering Executive. Bruce was named to the CIO 100 by CIO magazine (August 2003) and Computerworld's Premier 100 (January 2004).

Since March 2005, Bruce has served as chairman of the policy workgroup for the Committee on Operating Rules for Information Exchange (CORE), a national, multi-stakeholder initiative organized by the Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH). Bruce joined Humana in April 1999 and served as its senior vice president and chief information officer prior to his current position.

Bruce was also previously CEO of Prudential Service Company where he led 2,800 employees dispersed over more than 20 locations throughout the United States and controlled a $650 million direct budget. Before Prudential, Bruce was SVP and CIO for MetLife, which he has joined in 1970.
