Arshele Stevens has five years of tenure with the Board of Education of the City of Chicago, and leads a full-time staff of 235 people with a combined annual operating and capital budget of more than $50 million. Arshele's key contributions to CPS include: • The implementation of a compliance tool for the 68,000 children who receive Special Education Services; • The introduction of Technical Project Management services, which significantly increases the district's ability to effectively deliver application hosting; • The expansion of the Information Security Department to focus on policy, standards and compliance; • The transition to high performing teams that are founded on collaboration and trust. Prior to joining CPS, Arshele led merger and acquisition efforts for the Securities division of Wachovia Bank; prior to that she managed the Configuration Management Department for CNA Insurance. Arshele holds certificates through the Project Management Institute, Six Sigma, and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
