Al Kirkpatrick is vice president and chief information risk officer for The First American Corporation. Responsible for First American's 250 subsidiaries, including significant international holdings. Additionally, al also supports the corporation's global subsidiaries and customers regarding risks related to international operations. Prior to joining First American, Kirkpatrick held chief information security officer positions at two large, technologically advanced corporations. He has also held various technology management positions, including the management of fossil and nuclear power plant information systems for the nation's largest investor-owned utility company. AL has several certification credentials, including the Certified Information Security Manager, Certified Information Systems Security Professional and Nuclear Quality Assurance Auditing designations. He is acknowledged as a thought leader regarding risk management and a regular speaker at domestic and international conferences.
