He was responsible for central technology services and infrastructure for the academic and medical campuses including the single instance medical records systems for the ambulatory clinics and the SLU hospital. Before joining SLU, Affan served as the Chief Architect/CEO for eDoc Synergy. eDoc Synergy was a Health Care venture to provide cutting edge technology for Electronic Medical Records with a Business Process Management based framework. Mobilization as the new face of Mercy engagement
Mercy plans to use the platform of mobilization to expand on our philosophy of being pioneers in the new model of care and deliver a transformative health experience. Our mobilization strategy is built as an enhanced venue to expand care access and improve the relationship between the patients and the health providers. Mobilization is fundamental to the care model and offers a choice of channels. The Mercy mobile portal today is a platform for our patients when they need care. From scheduling an appointment to Rx refill and from reminders to pre-appointment workflows are options available to our customers today. The My Mercy portal is good "sick time" tool but our plan is to expand the mobile solutions to be a "well time" platform of service. Our mobile solution will be the one stop shop for all services Mercy. We plan to use mobilization as differentiator for our services in the marketplace. Our overall mobile strategy is built around four dimensions: Patient engagement, Population management, Care delivery Optimization, Brand experience and growth.
